True joy is deeper than happiness. It is a fruit of pursuing God, serving others, and choosing a God-centered perspective—even amid challenges. While happiness appears only about 10 times in Scripture, joy is mentioned over 400 times, often alongside sacrifice, affliction, generosity, and faithfulness. Joy flows from connection to Christ rather than circumstances.
