Dead or Alive

Remembering that last week we celebrated Easter... "Easter was what we needed, not what we wanted!"

The Jews wanted a King. (John 12:12-19) They needed a savior! (Luke 19:41-42)

Today, do we tend to be consumed by our circumstances? We want our circumstances changed. We need Jesus to change us spiritually; so as to change us and our circumstances.

Humanity is under both physical and spiritual laws that God created.

Gravity - no explanation needed

Spiritual Authority - Jesus calmed the storm, turned water to wine.

God opposes the proud, gives grace to humble (James 4:6).

The first shall be last and the last shall be first. (Matthew 20:16)

The wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23)

These laws have authority over us regardless if you agree with them or even believe in them.

This is the basis by which God transforms us and our circumstances.

All people are spiritually dead and separated (Romans 3:23)

Jesus paid the price for sin (2 Corinthians 5:21)

Jesus took away the separation that had been required (Matthew 27:50-52)

Today through Christ, we are new, spiritually alive! (1 Corinthians 6:19)
